2021 Luscious Louise Verdelho/Sem
COMING SOON! ... mid/late April, but might even be ready for Easter! Louise is back, and this year we’ve added a little more ‘magic’ to our Verdelho by blending in a hint of Semillon (from a well-known local vineyard) to create a well-rounded and voluptuous wine, crammed full of those bold citrus and tropical fruit flavours that we love. Louise always works well paired with seafood, spicy dishes, or simply enjoy around the pool or bbq. -
2021 Thelma 2.0 Verdelho/Sem
COMING SOON! ... mid/late April, but might even be ready for Easter! What a gal – our Thelma’s back! Full and generous Verdelho flavours abound, but in creating this year’s version, we decided to blend in a touch of Semillon (from a well-known local vineyard) to give us a wine with elegant and crisp notes of citrus, and a fresh and lively finish on the palate. Pair her with seafood, antipasto, or on her own. Chill her well, and enjoy to the max. -
3 O’Clock Rosé
AVAILABLE SOON! Our 2021 Merlot was harvested on February 26th, and it's terrific! We'll fill you in on details ASAP, but will be a Rosé similar to our very popular 2019 2 Fat Cows Rosé. -
2019 Woof Woof Red
What a great (new) addition to our Woof Woof wines collection! This one is made by a top-notch Hunter winemaker, and uses all Hunter grapes – it's a ripper. Woof Woof Red is a light, bright and fragrant red wine, and it's soooo good chilled on a hot Summer day, around the pool, bbq, or with pizza! And remember, 10% from each bottle of Woof Woof wines sold goes to PetRescue and/or a number of other Aussie animal rescue groups. -
2019 Woof Woof White
Our new Woof Woof White is a cracker! It's been made by a hugely successful and well-known Hunter winemaker – we immediately fell in love with its crisp, fresh and bright flavours, and we reckon you'll love it too. And remember, 10% from each bottle of Woof Woof wines sold goes to PetRescue and/or a number of other Aussie animal rescue groups. -
2020 Freya’s Vintage Merlot
Our new 2020 Merlot is named after Freya, the 20 y.o. ex-racehorse we adopted from the RSPCA in January 2020, just in time for her to oversee vintage! Freya's Vintage is full of fragrance and spice, and is a beautiful deep, glossy purple colour. Soft Merlot tannins are complemented by gentle integration of oak, making this a finely balanced wine with clean, ripe blackberry and raspberry notes on the palate. -
2014 Merlot
This one just keeps getting better and better, with 7 award show medals to its credit. From the Hunter's best vintage ever, this Merlot has not put a foot wrong. Continuing to be soft yet complex on the palate, this wine has David Hook's style written all over it – classic fruit flavour dominating, with older French oak barrel treatment for 14 months. This Merlot is at its peak flavour complexity now, and will drink well for at least another 10-15 years. -
2019 Thirty Two Rows Shiraz
This little beauty was bottled in January 2020 and, wow, it's another cracker by Mike De Iuliis and his assistant winemaker Shannon! As Mike has said: our little vineyard produces a Shiraz with an amazing lifted perfume aroma – kind words Mr De Iuliis. This vintage is fresh and vibrant with, we think, raspberry and rhubarb flavours bouncing on your tastebuds with fruity exuberance ... it's terrific! As with all our other Shiraz, this one will cellar very well for 10-15 years. -
2020 3 Empty Dams Shiraz
COMING SOON – LIMITED AVAILABILITY Let's just put it out there – 2020 was the Hunter wine industry's annus horribilis, and we all took a hit on yields and amount of wine made, however there are some lovely 2020 Hunter wines available. Our little vineyard produced an outstanding crop of 2020 Shiraz, even though our yield was around 40% of the usual volume. Mike De Iuliis has again produced a magnificent wine for us, and we hope to get it into bottle and out to you soon, maybe March/April 2021, but we'll keep you posted. -
2018 Blue Fence Shiraz
This is another terrific Shiraz from Mike De Iuliis. Mike played with a combo of old and new French oak to get maximum flavour from our grapes, and this wine is showing lots of heavy dark berry fruit flavours. This one is def going to mature into a real standout, along the lines of our 2016 and 2017 Shiraz. -
2018 Sweet Sophie
Oh how we love our little Sophie! Our 2018 version (and you'll notice we've gone back to a 375mL pocket-sized bottle!) has a range of bright citrus and tropical fruit flavours, that are now also developing light honey notes. This is a real little sweetie with a beautifully balanced and crisp finish. Enjoy well-chilled as an aperitif, with delicate desserts, to temper light Asian dishes, or to complement charcuterie and cheese. -
2021 Sweet Sophie
COMING SOON! ... mid/late April, but might even be ready for Easter! For our Sweet Sophie devotees, we think you're going to luuuuurve our 2021 version. This vintage delivered magnificent Verdelho flavours in bucketloads, and for an extra burst of happiness, we blended in a soupçon of Semillon (from a well-known local vineyard) and that has given us a Sophie like never before: ripe pineapple, papaya, passionfruit and lime. As always, Sophie is perfect with charcuterie, spicy dishes and dessert. -
2014 Shiraz
DUAL TROPHY-WINNER! With 6 medals (including a Top Gold Medal) and 2 trophies – need we say more! If you need further confirmation of this one’s pedigree, have a look at our Awards page (to come) for a full list of credits. Deep cherry red in colour, this wine has complex aromas of plums, aniseed, spice and flint. The palate is medium-bodied with blackberry fruit flavours and an interesting note of menthol, finishing with soft and drying tannins. While always magnificent to drink now, this Shiraz will cellar well up to at least 2034.
