Bespoke made by Heather (with a glass of vino in hand!), our Zaatar is great on a dipping plate, or add it to salads and pizzas, and try using it as a coating on roast vegetables and lamb cutlets/lamb legs etc. With a Middle Eastern background, Zaatar recipes vary – our version contains sumac, thyme, oregano, sesame seeds, marjoram leaves, ground turmeric, dill leaf tips, ground cumin and salt. All items are dry herbs/spices, but we lightly pan-roast the sesame seeds for that lovely sweet and nutty flavour; it really does add another depth of flavour.
