On a weekend visit to the Hunter, Lucy’s Run was last on our way out to the freeway back to Sydney. But we were very pleased to visit this winery. Heather and Brad were the nicest owners / hosts we’d come across all weekend. Just a shame the other side of the shed doesn’t open to allow for the view to be shared with everybody who visits.
We were recommended to visit this winery on our last visit to the Hunter, and didn’t have time. So we made sure we’d visit this time around.
Don’t leave without at least one bottle of Sweet Sophie – best thing I’ve ever tasted.
The only downside, there was only a tree or portable toilet to visit. So chose not to. But we would still visit this winery again. It’s people like these that make a weekend visit worthwhile.
